Technology investor: Silicon Valley may not like Trump, but they have to engage

In an interview with CNBC, a prominent technology VC has suggested that Silicon Valley get over its collective distaste for the new president, hold its nose, and start “warming up to some of President Donald Trump’s policies.” Silicon Valley has a responsibility to cooperate. That’s the opinion of Silicon Valley insider, Eric Hippeau, managing partner at Lerer Hippeau Ventures, who thinks Silicon Valley has to engage, and “can’t just live in their own little world,” anymore. Others, like Kara Swisher, executive editor at technology blog and CNBC partner Recode, wrote this week that technology executives should be more courageous and stand up for their beliefs, against Trump.
