Safety sensors get smarter

Research supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the SyEnA project, will make sensor-based safety systems more affordable in automobiles. It does this by improving the design process for creating sensor and sensor systems.

The research involved nine partners, including an organization in Dresden, ZMDI , the project coordinator, and the edacentrum in Hannover which provided the project management for the project.

BACKGROUND: Zentrum Mikroelektronik Dresden AG (ZMDI) is a premier supplier of innovative energy efficient analog and mixed-signal semiconductors for the automotive, mobile medical, industrial automation, and consumer markets. edacentrum is an institution that promotes research and development in the area of electronic design automation (EDA).
