Kodak's miserable moment
To say that Kodak "missed" a few things is to understate the decades of blunder that lead to today's banruptct filing. With a portfolio of valuable film processes and digital patents, this is a Kodak Moment for the asset strippers who would do well if they can to sell Kodak for the value of its IP, or intellectual property and other assets
In the end, Kodak never developed a Silicon Valley connection, and it failed to innovate in way that, say, 3M did. Management was hung up on the lucrative, high margin business of film developing. Along came Steve jobs and 'iDigital' everything technology, and well, Silicon Valley simply devoured Kodak's lunch, breakfast and dinner. It's creative destruction at work.
