Dubai team bound for CES
DUBAI - With Dubai’s consumer electronics market forecast to register a double-digit growth next year, ITL-Cosmos Group president Dr Ram Buxani and Jacky’s Electronics chief operating officer Ashish Panjabi explain to Khaleej Times why they will be attending a trade mission by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry to the Consumer Electronics Show, or CES, in Las Vegas next month.
The importance of CES as an event has increased in the last couple of years as it has grown to encompass various industry segments thus making it the ultimate destination for anyone involved in consumer electronics, IT, mobile communications or photography. Shows like Comdex, which was for IT, and Photo Marketing Association International (PMA), which was for photography, don’t exist as standalone shows anymore and most brands are therefore present at CES, according to a report in Khaleez Times.
They said the CES being the world’s largest consumer electronics show is of prime interest to them. “Being at CES, I aim to meet with key industry decision-makers and better understand the trends moving forward,” Panjabi said. >>More here
