City Motion will produce 300 electric scooters in its new assembly plant in Biot

It designs and manufactures two-wheeled electric vehicles with a power equivalent to 125cm3.

In 2010, the company signed an exclusive agreement with Nipponia, a European manufacturer of thermal scooters, which allows it to develop an electric scooter equivalent to 125cm3 based on the chassis and shell of the ARTE scooter by the same company, according to a report in Invest in Cote D Azur.

The company already markets a scooter which is assembled in Asia under the Electric’City brand. With the current development in its design office and assembly plant based in Biot, City Motion intends to produce 300 ARTELEC electric scooters from next January (pre-production).

Production/marketing is scheduled for spring 2012 and pre-ordering will be available from March.  >>More here
