Georgia moves closer to venture capital investments
ATLANTA -- A state House of Representatives panel has unanimously approved a bill that will funnel up $200 million in tax revenue into a state-backed venture capital fund.
“This is a vehicle for making sure we have jobs that don’t leave our state,” said the bill’s author, state Rep. Allen Peake, R-Macon, ahead of the voice vote of the Administration and Licensing Subcommittee of the House Insurance Committee, according to a report in macon.com. >>More here
